August tangles so far...

I started with the body of the ant... (upper right), then created the legs (they didn't look like legs until I added the 'leaves' on the bottom. Then needed to give him something to do (stirring up the dust, under the vines).
"Three Legged Ant"

"Bouquets"
I really like the floaty-ness of the bouquets as though they are thrown at a wedding....

"All Tied Up"

"Cover Me Please"
Different coverings... fabric folds, netting, checkered cloth, ribbons, etc.

This is in the works.... I actually started this one with the book upside down, so the tubes were stretching UP, but now they look like legs in fishnet stockings! LOL

I've finished it and decided it's name is "Can Can".

July Tangles

Okay, this is a cheater tangle.... We have this outline from church that I created a ZIA within the design. It's "Flat Jesus" (you know, like "Flat Stanley".  Our church's facebook page wants us to take him with us to different places to take a photo and post it to see how far Jesus travels. (I haven't taken him out anywhere yet, lol)

I had fun with this one...Haystack spewing bubbles.
"Ping Pong Bubbles"
It does look like a mouth (ok, maybe a beak) singing with a party hat on....
"Singing in a Party Hat"

June Tangles... ZIAs actually

Here are mine from June...
This one I finished from April's post...
"Hold Me Tight"
The Clouds in the sky are really a tangle called Meringue... (also thought of calling it "Peak-a-Boo Pods... see. They ARE looking at you!)
"Meringue Clouds"
I love how this tilts...as though it's balancing on one leg (but 'cheating because the rock pile holds it up, LOL)
"Bound Up"
This was created when the Supreme court allowed Gays to marry in all states.
"Pride"

Original Tangle of Mine!

May Tangles

Catching up posting my ZIAs...
"Flow"

"Unravelilng"

"Waves of Chain-ge"

April Tangles...

Here are the tangles that I finished in April....
I haven't named it yet....I want to name it "Cone Unfurled and Unfolded", because it looks like stuff pouring out of the 'cone'.

This one I finished from the last post...I named it "De-Vine", after one of the tangles in it.
This one has the tangle, "Floatfest", Knight's Bridge, and "X" in it.... haven't named it, but thinking about "Tangled up"

This looked like it's name...

Original Tangle- Sukshun

This post is for all those who ask for 'steps' in creating a new tangle. I made this one while I was at work, and while I'm hoping it's never been done before, I just thought how neat it would be to have orbs held together by suction cups with arms... hence the name, "Sukshun".
Step 1-draw orbs

Steps 2-connect orbs with suction cups.

Step 3-done.
The start of a ZIA using Sukshun
This was what I presented to TanglePatterns.com as my original design, but they didn't accept it, so I'm finally posting it as my own.

It's new to me challenge- week 14- letter Q

Okay, here is the tangle that is 'new to me'.... Quareis in the upper right corner. interesting. I also made up a tangle... My grandson, Malakai told me I should make some 'tornadoes' (we were watching the tornados that hit the midwest on the news).... I threw some in and called them "Tornadokai's" (tor-NA-do- kies)... thought they were cute and easy.

It's new to me Challenge- week 13, letter L

This first one I did two weeks worth of tangles on it.... For this week's challenge, I did the Logjam (lower right side), but because I posted it for week 11 (I was playing 'catch up').

I'll do another ZIA with the legitimate "L" on a new one.LaBel is on the lower right side.... Other tangles are Showgirl, Henna Drum, JessiCup and Antidots.

It's new to Me Challenge- week 12 -letter O

Playing catch up kinda fun, but not when you're in the middle of Easter weekend and you're having Easter dinner tomorrow. Good pressure when it's relaxing... Windy outside and starting to warm up.  I started this ZIA in March, but just didn't have anything to add to the lower right side....

Organza! It works.... Also, there is Pi, a variation of Joy, and others....

It's new to me Challenge- Week 11 -letter B

I missed out posting one for week 9 & 10 and while I'm late to the party, I'm still gonna try and post one for week 11.This one is for week 11.... The letter B is Biscus (lower left side)

I call it "The Offering" ... kind of appropriate to post it the day after Good Friday, when Jesus offered himself upon the Cross. Just saying.

It's new to me challenge, Week 9, letter H

This one I did a new H pattern for me. It's in the  the upper left (Hatch Patch)  and tried Spikies (my variation eliminates the petals on the inner circles...

I also did another one with Henna Drum in it that was new to me, also. Flowery/viney things to the left.

March- 1st week's tangles

Here are a few in my new book....(sketchbook). The paper is different and I'm not sure if I'm going to draw on both sides (this book allows it), or still make notes on the back side of the art.

This one is funny because, since I do pieces of it at a time, I did the shell (middle left) first, then the checkerboard (Knight's bridge), ... then the next time I picked it up, I picked up the  book upside down, then drew the flower and the 'rain' and the design along the 'top' (now the bottom). Once I realized I'd drawn the flower and the rain upside down, I added the petals and the stacked stones and the rest....sheeesh.
"Water me UP!"
Think I would have preferred this one upside down, too....

Birthday Weekend- not mine

Yes, I know,... it's not my birthday, but my oldest daughter is turning 31 on Monday (today)...

I did these this week. Pretty pleased, because it uses up almost to the last page of my journal. I'll have to buy another one or use the 3" square papers I have.

"Hidden in the Sails"

"Side a Beef"

"Taking a Walk"

"Fashion Statement" or "Cloaked"

"Blow Hard"
Although I have a new pattern (to me) in it, NuWave, I'm thinking the name of this one should be "Hanging  Around".... Although it's looking like "Origami".
